Mindful Parenting by Design
Raising humans is hard, especially if you are learning as you go (aren't we all?) Who has time for hours of research, when your child is going to need something different next week? How do you encourage your child to think for herself, be confident, responsible, creative and caring?
My mission is to make finding the answers easier. Here you'll find honest, practical advice about guiding young children that you can put into action right now.
I've collected some of my best articles, lists, and resources for you below to get started.
Best of luck, and talk soon!

The sound games form the foundation for strong reading, writing, and spelling skills, plus they are fun to play! These games are modified from my Montessori training and various reading programs, and are intended for use in an English speaking Montessori classroom or for parents at home.
The first 5 games practice hearing the sounds in words, and the other 6 games practice important reading skills like segmenting, blending, and word patterns.
You can begin sound games as early as your child can speak, and on through early elementary years. While the games are simple, remembering to actually play is not! Print a copy of these cards and put them on the work shelf for easy access. Teach every adult in your home or classroom how to play, and watch your children's reading, writing, and spelling skills improve!
There are 11 game cards in this file:
